The best role model in any child’s life is the same-sex parent (except in extreme cases) with the opposite sex parent close behind. Why, then, would any parent want to deny their child this valuable person – which in turn negatively affects the child’s mental stability? A parent who does this is putting their own emotions above those of their child. IMO this is the worse case of selfish parenting. I completely agree with you Mr. Simpson!

Anna Demyanyuk ), a US-Russian dual citizen illegally abducted their US-born US-citizen toddler daughter Julie Troitsky in late November 2011, against the US Court Order, and all the details of this bizarre and unfortunate case are here:

Japan has not yet signed the 1980 Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. It is apparently moving toward signing but it is difficult to speculate when this will happen.
